Sprachenworkshop

After a long corona break, the school is starting to get back to the fun things in life. One of the first things to take place was the “Native Speaker Week”, where we had five native speakers (Harry, Max, Prudence, Dave and Gary) from England, America and South Africa come into our school and work with over 70 pupils. Having a full five days of just “only English please” went down like a house on fire. They spent 6 lessons a day speaking and listening to English in different topics and ways. They learnt and played basketball, they talked about all different countries in the world, they did roll plays, watched a film, did a scavenger hunt, had an American day, learnt about the hobbies, professions and cultures of the native speakers and many other different things. The pupils loved it. I heard the comments like “It`s soooooo cool”, “the teachers are really funny”, It`s great”, “can we do it again, please?”. I want to thank everyone that took part and the parents that allowed their children to do (in my opinion) the most important part of learning a language, COMMUNICATION.
